[The symbiote is such a vital part of him that it had taken him some time to accept the fact that it had never been torn from him.]
What's up?

I'm working to expand further into the crimefighting market, but there's more involved with serving a crimefighter than simply what they look like. There's equipment and other considerations, things I lack the technical knowledge to develop on my own.
That's where you come in.

I don't need to hear the rest of your pitch, I'm in. On the condition I can help you build someone's gadgets.
[Getting up from his chair, he puts his hand on a secret panel in his office and turns the camera, revealing a closet full of pumpkin bombs, goblin gliders, what looks like spider-trackers, and various other superhero gadgetry. Normie has a need for absolutely none of it; he was just really bored.
He turns the camera back around.]
I clearly need a new hobby. The good Green Goblin and Spider-Girl aren't here to use these.
man i didn't even notice i'd accidentally put video instead of voice
Let's...avoid distributing any of the Goblin's accouterments, if you don't mind. I'm sure you'll be fully capable of developing new ideas.

I'm so sorry. I've spent the last 2 years trying to scrub everything of that goblin look that I wasn't thinking. They still look pretty Goblin-y, don't they?
[Stupid, stupid stupid....]
I've got other ideas that those, I swear.

[ Plus, you know, she expects that he'd have his own path to forge, not leaning entirely on his grandfather's legacy. ]

[In his defense, he associates the goblin with his best friend, not his grandfather. Working on goblin tech was his way to help repair his family's image.]

[ Speaking of which... ] I have made that offer to two people already, so I'm sure they would appreciate the lab space. Though I would be surprised if Peter hasn't seen your labs extensively already, I'm not sure how well you may know former Ambassador Revan.
As for how much space can be allocated and where, and what sort of overhead I made need to contribute for, those are things we'll need to discuss in more detail when we can. Probably have some sort of contract made up to christen the deal as official.

I'd love to work with Pete, but I can't say I remember the ambassador. They all kind of blend together after a while to me, I'm afraid.
Whenever you want to come by for a walk-through, either alone or with Uncle Pete and Ambassador Revan, let me know and I'll tell the front desk. I'll also work with my lawyers on getting a contract drafted. Don't worry, I won't have them draw it up too much in my favor.
[As if he'd do anything like that to Kanaya. If anything he'll make sure they draft it too heavily in her favor.]

I like the idea of a tour, especially since you don;t know Revan already. It would be a good opportunity for the two of you to meet, and to discern how you might work together.

[Wealth is nice, but not when it's built on the backs of other people.]
Why don't you see when everyone else is free, and I'll be sure to clear my schedule that day for you.

[ She lets out a laugh. ]
Anyway, I'll give them a call. Hopefully we'll be able to settle everything quickly.
no subject
[Yes, he has waited his whole life to use the cliched phrase "I'll have my people call your people."]
Sounds like a plan. Keep me posted.
no subject
Of course! Talk to you soon. In the meantime, you'll be hearing from my lawyer.
[ Which is more friendly than that phrase is usually meant, but if they're going to be trading cliched lawyer lines, she had to. ]

Touche, Kanaya, touche.]
