Hey there, you've reached Norman Osborn. Sorry I'm unavailable at the moment. Please leave a message and I'll get back to you shortly.

Hey. If you get this, let me know.

Ported out for a bit, but I'm back now.
To answer your question: I either repaired them for local shelters, or I stripped them for parts. Microwaves have really strong electromagnets in them, and I used them in the original version of my glider.
[And then he sends a video link to ustube in this vein showing someone using a microwave's electromagnets for something else.]
text
Man. It's okay, I just... another of my friends ported out for a while at the same time, so when I didn't hear from you, I got suspicious.
Haha, that's actually really cool. I didn't know you could do that. But I guess it makes sense. My friend was looking for someone to repair his friend's communicator, and I mentioned you, and when I said we'd met while you were carrying microwaves, he was like, "is he gonna blow stuff up"? So I got curious.
text > video
[Normie sends him a link.]
You break anything down enough you can get some cool things, you just have to know what you're looking for... or get something so cheaply it doesn't matter.
[Hahahahaha... About blowing stuff up...
Normie switches to video, where he can be seen smiling and holding up a pumpkin bomb, though it's been scrubbed of the pumpkin motif, so it pretty much just looks like a shiny orange sphere.]
We'll keep this a secret between me and you. Though exactly none of this was made from microwave parts.
video
Riku's eyebrows raise when Normie shows him his bomb, then lets out a huff of laughter.]
Looks too fancy for a microwave.
video
I have told you I built tech for superheroes back home, yeah?
video
video
Oh man, I wish. It's... complicated here.
Does your friend still need his communicator fixed? Probably not, it's been so long.
[Nothing like a good, old-fashioned deflection.]
video
[He frowns.] To be honest, I'm not sure. But it would have probably been a kind of frustrating job anyway. It was kind of mangled.
video
Uhh... mangled how? Like... got run over by a bus mangled?
video
[He's just gonna... let that drop, because Normie's clearly uncomfortable.]
Like got crushed with telepathy mangled.

Who was it, by the way? Someone I know?
video
video
Honestly, I don't go home much.

The other is, well, people in my house don't tend to stay very long. It's disconcerting walking through the door and finding a bunch of strangers once a month.
Re: video
[He tilts his head a little. He can understand how strange that might be. He's had a few lineup changes himself at the house. Kang and Riku himself seem to be the only constants -- there was Mandrake before, and then Kakashi, and now Marty, but who knows how long he would be there.]
If you lived in De Chima, we might run into each other offline a little more. [Cuz Riku's boyfriend lives there.]
video
Then, uh, I lost a whole month.
video
[He smiles quietly.]
Yeah, I know. I was there.
video
video
[He gets that. Sora lived right next door to him while he was here, and it's weird looking out his window at the house and thinking about how he isn't there.]
Well, that's all right, then.
